Guest guest
Everyone: I've been absent the last few days because I've been spending time in the hospital with a dear friend. She died this morning from cervical cancer. I know this sounds silly, but I made a promise to her that I'd do what I could to remind women to get their annual pap smears. (I myself have neglected to get one for the last three years) I've been thinking of how I could help remind women to get their annuals done, since most of us are not avoiding them, we forget. I've decided that I'm going to start a group that reminds women to get their paps and mammograms done. On the date of your choosing, I will remind you to get them done. If you guys can think of anything else that people need reminding of, please let me know. I will send the group an email when the group is set up, and I sincerely hope you all sign up. Such an easy thing to do, but once you forget, it could mean your life. Hugs, --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Guest guest
Thanks Mom. It was sad that she died, she was so young. She died from not getting her pap smears. So far I have three subscribers, including myself. I don't understand why people aren't jumping on this! I do all the work, they just get an email when they need to get pap smears, do a breast exam, teeth cleaning, eye exams....who wouldn't want that? Maybe things will pick up soon. -----Original Message-----From: angelbear1129@... Guest guest
Yes, you have a VERY good idea here!!! It will take time and also, a LOT of folks do not even have theirs scheduled for any time soon ( or do not even do it yearly, so your efforts for your friend WILL pay off in time, just have Faith!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) Love, Mom It was sad that she died, she was so young.
