Guest guest
Hi All ~ We got home from the wedding about 11:30pm last night. We had a great time!! It was a beautiful wedding!! We didn't know how long we were going to be able to stay, but surprisingly we were there for about 7 hours. The wedding was at 2pm, and we left for home about 9pm. It was a lot for my allergies to take... I swear that 90% of Terry's family smokes continuously!! Which did wonders to my allergies. Between Benadryl shots and wearing my oxygen the entire time (completely emptied 2 'D' size tanks) we were able to stay for a lot longer than anyone thought we would be able to!! We did leave the reception for a little while between the dinner & the dance, so that really helped. Although I am still not sure how it was that I was able to stay out of the ER altogether!! I just know it meant a lot to Terry's cousin (the bride) for us to come. Plus I wanted to show his family that I was "better than them" to a point because although I have all these allergies, I still made the effort of coming to the wedding... even though NONE of them came to ours!! There were a couple of aunts, uncles & cousins that wanted to come but couldn't because of health reasons, so that was okay & understandable... it was the rest that didn't come because the wedding was in Minnesota (most of them live around Eau ~ apx 100 miles away), we weren't serving alcohol, there was no smoking, & our requests not to set off my allergies (which most of MY family totally ignored, but anyway) NOT one person from his family other than his parents showed up!! ***okay I feel better now that I got that off my chest!*** Today we have just been lounging, and I am going to take a nap soon because I am exhausted!! You could say I am paying for yesterday but feeling okay, no real problems. I am cycle day 3 (Sunday) did my 1st shot of Follistim 150 IU ~for those of you not on a trying to conceive list, Follistim is an injectable fertility drug~ about 1400 (2pm). No real problems with it so far. Still taking all the rest of my daily meds (prenatal vitamins, folic acid, zyrtec, benadryl, calcium with D, zinc, & magnesium) plus my PRN allergy drugs (Benadryl or Phenergan). Hopefully this will do the trick for us & we will be parents-to-be by next cycle's start date. Hoping but not getting my hopes up too high yet. Don't want my heart to shatter if it doesn't work out. I hope everyone is having a good weekend. Nap time for me now, so I will check back in later!! Love Always, Anne
