This is an infused oil, not an essential oil. They are two very different things. I'd be willing to bet that she infused her own oils, rather than making her own eo's. It can take pounds of plant material to make just one oz. of certain eo's, so she'd have to grow acres of any particular herb to make enough eo to make soap. It's too bad that the author of this website has inaccurate info. on her site, IMO. Guest guest
D'ann, those directions are not for essential oils though, those are infused oils. Essentail oils are moslty obtained by distilling. Shaye Making essential oils That article got my brain going and going.. she didn't have alot of money to start her business.. I started making soap in February and have sunk in 2, 000.oo Any way.. I have added an article on how to make your own essential oils, and she really must have spent alot of money on OO.. or else she had a good contact somewhere.. http://treetotem. <http://treetotem.com/hpessentialoils.htm#INGREDIENTS> com/hpessentialoils.htm#INGREDIENTS -- D'Ann Help meet to Andy Mother of
Guest guest
After I posted that I did some more research, and found that you can purchase these distillers.. they are pretty expensive though.. It was interesting.. and nothing i'd be doing.. I'm quite happy buying my EO's and FO's from someone else who has already done that work..(and is reputable) D'Ann On 7/16/07, Shaye <shaye@...> wrote: > > D'ann, those directions are not for essential oils though, those are > infused oils.
