Guest guest
Welcome Sunshine I think everyone gets discouraged. I know I sure do, but I know nothing has ever worked for me like BFL has, so I just keep plugging away. For me, the results have been pretty gradual except in the very beginning. My first 2 challenges were a couple of years ago. It sounds like you need to focus on building muscle to shape you up. 12% BF seems like a reasonable goal for you to shoot for since you started out pretty small anyway. Hey, I don't think it's funny... that's where I want to be too! Just keep working the program and you'll be shocked at the change when the end comes. Just ask Amethyst! Guest guest
A lot of people have quite a bit to lose, so it takes more than 1 challenge to get to their goal. No stupid questions here! Guest guest
Hi everyone! I am new to this group and starting my 8th week on the program tomorrow. ) I just took my 6 week pics and I am very pleased with my results! Moreso than before I took the pics! LOL! Do some of you ever get discouraged and feel like you aren't making progress?? Well, that was my week. ) I started out pretty thin, but have had 3 children and that tends to wreak havoc on a bod. Hee hee! So I am trying to shape up and lose some flab! My last body fat check has me at 14.8% from 19-20% when I started. I guess that is good for 7 weeks?? I am not sure. I haven't lost hardly any scale weight though.... Okay, so here is my weakness....every day, I have something I am not supposed to.... a cookie... a potato chip (or 5).... a Starbucks Gingerbread Latte.... I am going dedicating myself to my last month FULL FORCE. I am going to aim for NO slips during the week.... Also, another question for some of you experienced BFL-ers (this is my first challenge).... Anyone have any idea when you can expect the tummy and butt to shape up? Does that happen last?? Will I see more overall results the last month than the first 2? I sure hope so!!! Although, my body fat is low, I want to reach 12% (don't laugh) by the end of the challenge and I feel like I am stuck right now..... Guest guest
Thanks for that! I do put lots of effort into weight training. I train super hard and do not cut corners when it comes to my exercise program at all. ) It is just the food that gets me. LOL! I crave sugar, more so than before I started BFL. ) And how come people do so many challenges?? I have heard of people doing 2 or 3 challenges a year and I just wondered why? Hope that is not a stupid question. I am just pretty new to this for the most part. ) Sunshine Re: Hi All! Newbie to this group! Welcome Sunshine I think everyone gets discouraged. Guest guest
Thanks Becky! That makes perfect sense. ) I will probably need more than 12 weeks to be where I want to be. And I can't imagine stopping after 12 weeks anyway. LOL! Sunshine Re: Hi All! Newbie to this group! Welcome Sunshine, Some people do more than one challenge because they have alot to lose and some people do it to maintain or refine what they have. I plan on doing it for life. Maybe not exactly " by the book " , but pretty close, especially the nutrition since it's so easy. Becky
