Hi ladies,

Recently I have been obsessing over Yams. I love them I caould eat

them for all 6 meals as a carb. Does anyone know if these are REALLY

good for you, or just ok? I heard that too much potatoes is not

good, but wasn't sure about the yams. Also is white rice a total no-

no? I ran out of brown rice, so used white today, the nutrtional

value is the almost the same, but I know that white riced is

processed and is striped of nutrients, but can I still have it on

occasions like this? Thanks for any advice!

I love yams too! And agree I could have them for all 6 carbs. I

know that they are a ton better for you than white potatoes. Just

make sure you don't overdo your portion.

As for the white rice, I would say it's fine in a pinch, but if you

have a different carb to choose (barley's a good one), I'd use that

instead. The white rice *IS* too processed and in my book

isn't " clean eats. "
