AMA 4th or 3rd Guides and ROM

Hello All,

Since I don't own the 3rd or 4th edition of the AMA guides for Impairment, and

anyone tell me where the ROM measurements came from for lumbar spine 90degrees

or extension 30degrees...etc. I see this very often on PT notes and if you have

the 5th edition, you will note that these are not the quoted values.....60 flex

and 25 ext...etc.

Can someone tell me how old and out of date these values are?

I believe the 3rd edition was

published in 1990, the 4th in 1994. Vern Saboe
