Free Day Question

I don't think you need to worry. I take full free days and have

still seen great results. Granted, I still only eat around 2000

cals, but it's whatever I want -- and trust me, it's not BFL

authorized. : P

Kate,

You have to find what works best for you AND what is livable for

you. I have always taken a full free day and at my lowest body fat

was at 15.6%. I did try to get down to 12% and found that really

difficult. I think I WOULD have to start counting free day calories

to do that. And that is NOT worth it to me. I eat anything and

everything that I want on my free day but I don't ever overeat at one

time. So instead of 6 cookies in one sitting, I have 2, three times

in one day :). I find that if I try to do a couple of free meals

through the week, I eat MORE than on one day. You have to find what

works best for you, but I advise to stay with the free day until you

have a reason to believe it is hurting your progress!

Hi Everyone,

I have been reading different member websites and suggested websites

over the weekend

and it's really helped. I am definitely a plan ahead type when it comes

to programs like BFL.

I'm pretty prepared already and just one thing I notice has a lot of

different opinions is FREE day.

I would pretty much be able to predict my free day and wonder if this is

okay or over the top

since I am aiming for body fat loss as this will be my first challenge:

Typical foods:

Nachos w/cheese restaurant style

OR

grilled chicken salad with vinergarette dressing

1 chocolate eruption dessert (it's like a chocolate cheese cake slice)

OR

Fast Food Meal at 's or Mc's

Is this too much for a free day? I am the type of person that craves

chocolate almost daily, so

I have usually gotten the chocolate cheese cake as a dessert once a

week. I am currently doing

the WW plan and give myself a free day, but I'm looking forward to doing

BFL and lifting the

weights etc..

I feel like I ask a million questions but y'all are so resourceful.

Thanks, Tink :)

Tink,

Free day is FREE DAY. Anything and everything goes! I have had

wonderful results by not limiting my free days a bit. I have a bit

more restraint than I used to, but sometimes (especially if I'm

traveling), I go ALL OUT. Other times I end up eating pretty good and

just have dessert or lunch out or something like that. But I always

try to satisfy my cravings--it helps to keep me on track during the

week.

HTH,

Maggie

I would keep the discipline and stick to plan. If not, I would

suggest having 1 free meal.

Thanks, Colleen, I think you're right. I have felt wonderful all week,

and I just realized it was actually the week before my period - normally

a week when I'd feel slouchy and want to eat everything in sight! Yay BFL!
