Hi Lurking !

Both the jojoba spheres and the loofah last indefinitely. The apricot meal

is iffy. If it doesn't smell rancid, go ahead and use it. I'd be surprised

if it's still OK, unless you froze it, but just check.

Hi, !!! :)

I'd think that the ground loofah and apricot seed meal would be absolutely

fine to use. But the jojoba spheres? I don't know ~ does jojoba ever go bad?

I hope that someone else can answer your question. I would *love* a bar of

soap with jojoba spheres! Plus, they look neat. :) Good luck with your

search! Glad to see you posting again!

,

I make a Peppermint/Tea Tree Loofah bar. I make a 6 pound batch. Six ounces of

ground loofah and 6 ounces of ground oatmeal makes a really good exfoliation

bar. I have a customer who wants more loofah in the bar and less oatmeal. But

the more ground loofah the scratchier the bar is at the end, and the harder it

is to cut the bars smoothly. You can't slice through ground loofah, you need to

use more like a sawing motion and you get a terribly ugly bar at the end.

It's her favorite bar, she places an order once a month for five bars. She loves

it. My skin absolutely hates it, too rough for me. But it smells really good and

has good fluffy lather. I indulged her once and made a bar with all loofah, she

preferred the original version. So, I'm back now to just one ounce per pound of

oil.

And yes, if it is kept in a clean, dry container, loofah should last a good long

time. I don't know about the others, I haven't used them.

guys

I have a requestion from a customer for an exfoliation bar of soap. I

haven't done any in couple of years.

Here's what I have on hand to pick from:

Jojoba Spheres - I've had these for at least 3 years (packaged tightly

in cupboard)

Apricot Seed Meal - I've had since 2001

Ground Loofah - I've had since 2001

Here's the question: Does anyone know the shelf life of these products?

I would think (but may be wrong) that the loofah would be fine

Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated!!!
