Many years ago an older DC used US on the hand, daily.

Claims to have " cured " several. Might be worth a try.

Dupuytren's Contracture

Hello all,

Anyone have any ideas or favorite techniques for Duputren's

Contracture? I have a 65 year old female patient with

hypothyroid, and plantar fascitis who has a moderate case of

Duputren's contracture. Wondering if any of you have had

luck at halting progression. Thanks.

Graston Technique would be my bet...But if it is a very advanced case - nothing might touch it. I also heard of a proceedure where MDs are "dry needling" and getting good results. I haven't checked into this much though. Matt Terreri, DC Matt Terreri, DC" W. My father has Dupuytren's in both hands.  It got pretty bad before he sought help.  the local ortho basically told him that his best option was to have the involved fingers amputated. So he postponed.  Months later a friend told him about an article in the Oregonian about an Oregon MD, Dr. Kline, doing a minimally invasive technique for DC with good results.

Dad made the appointment, had the procedure and saw a huge improvement.  He was back to work (carpenter) within a few days. The procedure costs a fraction of what the alternatives cost and is far more beneficial.

See the link here.  Medicare even covers it, I understand.   http://www.dupuytrenscenter.com
