I've heard that a lot of that is going around. If you want to respond,

just tell them how much a sample costs, and you'll know whether they're serious

potential customers or just looking for freebies.

Is it from " Christie Amato " ? Several people on the soap dish forum have

received free sample requests from her. She's in Pa.

I had one a couple of weeks ago. Don't have any idea who it was from. I saw it

when I was skimming emails before work - then totally forgot about it. LOL

web and the address did check out. Comments? Thanks.

Marie, yea sounds fishy.. I get them now and then... I'd say ignore them...

Or respond and say there is a charge for the samples but could be refundable

with the first order or something like that.

After getting burned by a commune up in the Catskills a few

years ago I realized my line was good enough to get paid for

samples if they are serious about buying.

This group took in an enormous amt. of trusting folk's creations and

never had intention of doing further biz with any of us. I happened to

hear bob was heading near the area so we paid the commune gift shop a

visit-The head honcho ran for his life out the back door leaving the

kids to talk to me. The shame was they preach Religion while doing this

blackhearted stuff. Poor bob had to hear me chatter aboutit allthe way

home but I got on the computer and wrote every recognized soaper I saw

in the baskets to tell them-also went online to all the lists I was

then on to warn them.

Bottom line is I now chg a small fee for all my sample sizes and if

they are serious about doing busines with you they gladly pay. you can

always refund it if they place an order(my min 1st time WS order is

$100.)

Yes, I just got one the other day and deleted it. She was from PA or OH,

I think. Asked for every " flavor " of soap that I have in a long list.

Sheesh. I gladly send samples with orders but don't send freebies just

like that unless it's a potential wholesale customer that I have a good

feeling about.

,

I wondered the same thing which is why I didn't reply. She wasn't acting

as a business person interested in wholesale but someone who said she

has extremely dry skin and would like samples of ............(and she

listed them by name)

Something about it just didn't seem right. I don't know.

Katy, Now that you mention it, my requestor complained of really dry skin, lips,

etc, too. She made such a point of it that I thought that if she was for real

she was probably dehydrated and needed medical help! -
