Work Comp reimbursement

I just received payment on a work comp patient and they denied payment for laser

therapy. The comments on the EOB stated " Per Aetna clinical policy #0363,

there is inadequate evidence of the effectiveness of low energy lasers in wound

healing, pain relief or musculoskeletal dysfunction " . I vaguely remember

someone on the list serve encountering this also. Is this the accepted policy

regarding laser therapy for W.C. cases (all practitioners) in Oregon?

Thanks for your comments,
