Guest guest
Are you using a -25 modifier if it is done on the same day as treatment. Haven't had this issue in our office. Safeco, for instance, has not paid one examination fee on any of the patients that I have with them. Others have down-coded the examination to the lowest level (even though I send them the laundry list of exams and all that I do). Besides PIP arb, is there a way to fix this on a statewide scale so that we don't have to do this every time? Cluen Never miss a thing. Make your homepage. Guest guest
I assume that you have contacted them in the various cases and inquired what their reasoning is. What exactly did they say? > > I've been noticing that several auto insurers have not been paying for the initial and follow-up evaluations. Guest guest
I have been using the -25 modifier and I always send my notes and examination forms to the carriers. I've spoken to other chiro's and they've had the same issue, especially with Safeco. Re: Examination fee schedules Are you using a -25 modifier if it is done on the same day as treatment. Guest guest
Hi If a phone call does not correct the problem and your documentation is in order, you can file a complaint with the Insurance Commission. Download the form #440-3600 from www.insurance.oregon.gov Submit ALL your documentation with the form. They have been very helpful for us in the past. Bob W. Guest guest
Bearing in mind that the contract is between the patient and the insurance carrier. Such a complaint should be filed by the patient. We need to complain to...Vern. He can take it! As in, “Vern, my beer is flat! Can you get someone on it?” ( E. Abrahamson, D.C.)
