Hi. Im just learning about mold and everything that goes along with

that.....which is a ton! I have a few questions. Ok, Ive read a

bunch that washing/drying clothes even in bleach doesnt kill mold,

why? I understand the bleach thing, we are just feeding the mold by

using it on walls and wood, but why clothes? Are the spores too

sticky? I know they are shaped like spike-covered balls, and I know

its the mytoxins? that are let off that make us sick. Can the spores

get washed off but the mytoxins stay? And why is this? Also, I know

you have to get testing done to determine what kids of mold are

present, but are there color tendancies with different types. We all

hear about " black mold " I assume that when someone says that, they

are talking about the toxic kind...stych....something? BUT there are

lots of molds that are black, like the stuff around the window sill.

Im asking because I had a ceiling leak for quite some time and when

the tiles fell in, the insulation was shiny black with mold. It

looked like this type of algea that grows on rocks in tide pools. I

was wondering if that can be any type of mold, or does it sound like

something particular. I am moving ASAP. We signed the new lease

yesterday. Im thinking about getting mold testing done so I know

what Im dealing with and because I plan on getting compensated

somehow. Thanks for any answers.
