Guest guest
Hi . For 20 years I have had a problem that may be similar...maybe not. When I try to exercise, my body doesn't get the `message' that it needs to rev. up, that I need to sweat, that my heart rate needs to speed up. What ends up happening is that I do something mildly difficult, like climbing the stairs, and a few minutes afterwards, my face gets bright red and hot, my heart starts racing, and I start to sweat....even though when I do actually exercise my brain doesn't get the message that these things need to happen. So, the only thing I can really do is swim, because it forces my body temperature to stay down at least. I still get the uncomfortably rapid heart rate and red face, and feel very hot afterwards, but when that starts I put my face in cold water. Take a shower or stick it in the sink. I've never been given a name for this, but they did do the tilt table test to see if I would pass out if my heart rate was elevated for half an hour with me strapped to a table. Apparently, a lot of people with CFIDS like symptoms do pass out, and they are given beta blockers to help. Good luck, Harriet __________________________________ FareChase: Search multiple travel sites in one click. http://farechase.
