Guest guest
Hi ! I have a workout bench, and a variety of dumbbells. I saw at one of those " sell it again sports " places, that you can get a dumbbell set for fairly cheap. They had some benches too. I also have medicine balls, one 4# and one 6#. I got those recently and use with crunches. I'm in week 10, and have been able to find enough exercises using this equipment to last me thus far. Until I become POWER WOMAN and have to upgrade to machines . Guest guest
Glad to hear I could inspire you to begin anew (and thanks for the kudos). I don't know anything about home gyms, but I like the idea of investing in some dumbbells. You can still do lower body! Squats, lunges, dead lifts, calf raises all can be done while holding dumbbells. Just my 2 cents. > hello ladies, > > i hate driving to the gym, and after 4 weeks of religiously going to > the gym, i went to nyc for the weekend, and well, you know, my hard > work has gone to waste. that trip was 4 weeks ago. haven't really > been back to the gym since. so, i think i need to start the > challenge all over. > > i was just reading up on some recent posts, and jennifer's > transformation has reinspired me!! Guest guest
I don't know anything about the bowflex. But you can do lower body at home with dumb bells. I do.... Holly anyways, i was wondering if any of you have a suggestion of what to use at home. i'm looking into buying something. i've seen commercials for " the crossbow " so i wanted to see if anyone was using that? i think bowflex is just too expensive. or maybe i should invest in free weights (dumbbells)? although then i can't do lower body. unless i get a whole bench system. any suggestions? thanks in advance, joey
Guest guest
we have a bench that you can incline and you can alos do pull-downs and leg extensions/curls. then we just bought a set of dumbells and barbells. my dh just finished his challenge and I've got about 3 weeks to go and we really haven't had a problem doing great workouts! we got most of our stuff at sports authority (though we found a really good local place for the barbells) and we also got a bike to do cardio. steph > hello ladies, > > i hate driving to the gym, and after 4 weeks of religiously going to > the gym, i went to nyc for the weekend, and well, you know, my hard > work has gone to waste. that trip was 4 weeks ago. haven't really > been back to the gym since. so, i think i need to start the > challenge all over. > > i was just reading up on some recent posts, and jennifer's > transformation has reinspired me!! Guest guest
I bought used dumbbells from a sporting goods store. I use them for squats and lunges, so there's no need for a whole bench system. I also go to the gym sometimes, but since I have the dumbbells, I have not missed a workout in 8 weeks. home gym? hello ladies, i hate driving to the gym, and after 4 weeks of religiously going to the gym, i went to nyc for the weekend, and well, you know, my hard work has gone to waste. that trip was 4 weeks ago. haven't really been back to the gym since. so, i think i need to start the challenge all over. i was just reading up on some recent posts, and jennifer's transformation has reinspired me!! (WAY TO GO, JENNIFER!!!) anyways, i was wondering if any of you have a suggestion of what to use at home. i'm looking into buying something. i've seen commercials for " the crossbow " so i wanted to see if anyone was using that? i think bowflex is just too expensive. or maybe i should invest in free weights (dumbbells)? although then i can't do lower body. unless i get a whole bench system. any suggestions? thanks in advance, joey
