Guest guest
Kristi: I don't have the 2003 Competitors Guide, but the 2002 one states, " digital and poloroid type instant photos will not be accepted. " I think that they have this rule because it is easy to touch up digital pics. > > Aargh! Someone wrote yesterday about digital pictures being a no-no for > submission. Guest guest
I have the 2003 Guide and I don't see anything about not using digital or poloroid pics. Call the 800 # to be sure. 1-800-297-9776 JennA > > > > Aargh! Someone wrote yesterday about digital pictures being a no- no > for > > submission. But that's what I took 3 weeks ago. Guest guest
<< " digital and poloroid type instant photos will not be accepted. " >> The latter would make no sense, since the new " Competitors Advantage Pack " (or whatever it's called, from EAS) actually CONTAINS a Polaroid camera! Nothing specifically states you cannot use a digital cam in the new Competitors Packet (which I read thoroughly at the get-go). in So Cal brillosa@... Guest guest
Kristi, i think they changed that rule and they are now excepted. Email BFL and ask but I swear someone said that. Digital Pictures Aargh! Someone wrote yesterday about digital pictures being a no-no for submission. But that's what I took 3 weeks ago. I went to my official entry and read all the rules and couldn't find anything on digital pictures. Can anyone expound on this predicament? Thanks, Kristi Camano Island, WA _________________________________________________________________ STOP MORE SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
Guest guest
This has become such a source of confusion that I actually called EAS and asked them. I was told 35mm film only. That doesn't mean they won't say something totally different if someone else calls. Maybe a few of us should call? 1-800-297-9776. Ask them if digital or Polaroid photos are allowed in the official challenge. It would be interesting to know what they're telling people, because the rules don't make it very clear at all. My guess is that if you use digital or Polaroid, you wouldn't be automatically disqualified, but you're probably less likely to win than someone who has crisp clear shots with negatives. After all, they need to reproduce the winning photos for magazines, websites, and print ads. Just to add to the confusion, they do put a Polorid in the competitor's pack. It comes with a disclaimer though: ~~ Note: This Polaroid camera is included to help you successfully track the progress of your transformation for personal use throughout the course of your 12-week program. We recommend you track your progress with your Polaroid camera every 4 weeks. However, please understand when submitting your Official Body-for-LIFE " before " and " after " photos, the Body-for-LIFE Challenge department highly recommends you use a 35mm camera or have professional photos taken. ~~ Re: Re: Digital Pictures << " digital and poloroid type instant photos will not be accepted. Guest guest
You know honestly I think if you have a really good digital camera they will never know the difference, well ummm until they need the negative! LOL Course there are those places you can make negatives from printed pictures.... Something to think about... I didn't get a Polaroid camera in my competitor pack! Did I get ripped or what??? ~~~Misty~~~ Lovin' all my sweeties Troy, Tiarra, Lexi & Lovin my honey Bobby
Guest guest
<<Shoot! I called and they don't accept digitally printed pictures. You know, it would have helped if they said ANYTHING about it in the competitor's guide.>> No kidding! Porter Freeman's generic e-mail (whcih goes out when you register) says to just be sure to take your picture (nothing more). In this day and age of digital EVERYTHING, this should be stated LOUD AND CLEAR! Should I even BOTHER sending in my digital pic, or will it be declined? What a BUMMER! ( in So Cal brillosa@... Guest guest
---Maybe this is all a conspiracy to weed people out! I mean since they have such a hard time pickin winners. Maybe if they have to say... " oh this pic is digital...can't accept it " and like say most of them are digital, then they don't have as many to have to pick from? because they can say... " ohhhh ummm well if you would have called we could have told you not to use digital " Okay did this make sense at all? Guest guest
My thanks to for sticking up for all of us. I am encouraged that technology is on my side. What did I used to say in high school? " Everyone is doing it! " Anyway, I just finished up week 6 (week 4 officially) and actually performed a squat in front of my weekly group today. We all do different programs, but I am encouraging them to do more weight bearing exercises, even without weights. Without weights it was totally effortless. My butt hit that low chair and I came right back up without any trouble! Wow does this program work! I have never felt so strong in my life. I don't care what that scale says, I don't have to fall into a sofa ever again. Maybe I'm just excited because tomorrow is Free Day! Have a good one everyone, Kristi Camano Island _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 helps eliminate e-mail viruses.
