Guest guest
’s husband asked me to share this with all of you: Bonnie,Today has had a bad flare up. We are preparing to take her to the hospital. She was very concerned that everyone has reached out and she's not responded so she's asked that I let you and the Vitamix board know she appreciates you all and will get back to each of you as soon as she can. I am unsure how to get to the Vitamix group, can you tell me how or let them know. She worries about people not thinking she is grateful even though we've all told her just from what she has told us about this group that you are all wonderful and understand delays and unforeseen flare ups. Personally, thank you all. You've each lifted her in a way I could never say thank you enough for. I am so sorry for all you and your son's health problems and frustration about treatment! Two things that I would like to let you know about is tumeric and kale. A friend of mine had non hodgkins lymphoma and she had treatments all over the US at the top cancer hospitals. And her cancer hospital in Texas told her to try tumeric. Well, she had a tumor and started on the tumeric, 3 months later the tumor was smaller and three months after that they could not even find it. And a male friend of mine in his 30's had bladder cancer. The tumor was removed and he had the TB treatments. But, the Drs. told him that is would probably come back because bladder cancer is the most reoccuring cancer. He started on the tumeric and has been on it for abput two years and all of his tests have come back great, no cancer reoccurrence! Thank God! And he is going to begin eating kale smoothies because it is a cancer fighter. So, i wish you well and hope you can find these things helpful!>> Yes, in October , 29, was diagnosed with metastatic testicular cancer and it spread to his lungs. He had a round of chemo while in the hospital and was due to begin this week, today, for another 5 days. But the doctor they sent him to from the hospital will not follow through with it so the treatments have been canceled. This doctor could have told us this 2 weeks prior but did not so now it has snowballed into a big mess for us to sort out. > > He did not have a primary doctor... he has to see her Monday, November 14 for the first time. Then get her to refer to a new oncologist. So... until then we do not know when he will get more treatments. > > This is such a nightmare... I am disabled and limited on what I can do to. 's brother and Dad helped him while in the hospital then I got the information they gathered and had to decipher it and see what had to be done next. We thought all was arranged for his treatments, appointments and rides which have to be arranged since neither of us drive. I had to give it up due to health. rides a bike everywhere. > > ..........Now to what I need advice on............ > I am hoping you can help me with ideas for foods good for him. He seems to crave protein, is not fond of green foods (I try to sneak them in) and I am trying to get him to cut out so much sugar. I have looked up information for foods. I found a good book on cancer meals and it also has tidbits of good information with most of the recipes on why this works, etc. I would like to make full use of my Vitamix to make things for him. I am hoping we can do nutritional things for him to help him as much as possible.> > I appreciate any help!!!!!!> Thank you,> Gloria ('s Mom)>
