This article appeared in the business section of the Washington Post. Seems to

be the animal corollary to GMO issue depicted in The Future of Food. I thought

the phrase " although work is not complete and researchers say that clones do

suffer subtle genetic abnormalities " had a familiar ring. Given the revolving

door FDA-agribusiness, it won't be long until this creeps into the food supply.

Once again, no labelling is required. The only check on this insanity seems to

be economical concerns stemming from resisistance of other countries to having

their food supplies contaminated.

Clone-Generated Milk, Meat May Be Approved

By Gillis

The Food and Drug Administration is expected to rule soon that milk from cloned

animals and meat from their offspring are safe to eat, raising the question of

whether Americans are ready to welcome one of modern biology's most

controversial achievements to the dinner table.
