best way to freeze small portions of green smoothies?

I remember that someone just recently suggested ice cube trays, and this would

be good, except my ice cube trays are plastic and impart a plastic taste to the

contents, and also, the contents tend to acquire the 'freezer smell' easily (and

I can't manage the metai trays).

Can anyone think of small, easy to open containers (abt one half to one cup

size)?

Are there freezer containers that people use for homemade baby food that would

work for this? (and where would one find them? At a baby store?) Thx, Les
