Kathy,

Are they taking a good multi-vitamin, one from a health food store, not from

the cheap stores like Walmart, Sam's Club, Kmart, GNC, Walgreen's, etc?

That might help. It is like when women lose hair after the baby is born.

If they would continue with their prenatal vitamins, they wouldn't have nearly

the trouble. But the abrupt change in nutrition (postnatally, by dropping

the vitamins, with weight loss, the reduction in nutrition) causes the body to

focus nutrition on the critical areas, like heart, lungs, digestive tract,

etc. Hair and nails and to a certain extent skin are not critical to the

body's survival. So in triaging, they are last in line for nutrients.

I hope this helps,

beth

there are some gals on my weight watchers group that are losing hair fast.

Anyone know what that could mean and what could help? The two that are having

the hardest time eat lots of veggies and drink lots of water. I was wondering

if flax seed oil would help. Any info would be great. Thank you.
