Guest guest
Hi, guys... I've been watching your e-mails about the crocheted cloths. I was wondering what type of a pattern or stitch you use. I have been thinking of making them myself, but haven't gotten much farther than the " think " stage. I had thought cotton thread would be the obvious choice, but how about need size and all that other good stuff? TIA Diane P

I do almost everything by ear (or in this case, eye!) ... LOL ... when I make my long skirts (which I love to wear) ... I just hold up the material, sort of measure it to me ... rip! Then take my needle and thread and start sewing! No pattern ... I've totally freaked people out before when they witnessed me " cutting out " my skirt! LOL! I do a lot of crocheting, and the pattern that I would use would either be a single crochet or a double crochet, the single one would be a tighter cloth than the double crochet. The thread to use would be #10 bedspread cotton and the hook would probably be a size D no larger than that.Hope this helps you; Blessings: Raven
Guest guest
Diane, I use the cotton with an H hook A single crochet will make a very solid cloth if that is what you are after. I prefer all DC patterns. There are also some simple designs that use DC shells that are quite nice. If you are near a Wal Mart, they have everything you need and some small inexpensive books on just dish cloths.
