Guest guest
is there a way to tell the few that unless they clean up their act, they will have to find another way to get products? Will Winter <holistic@...> wrote:The title for this note could be " THE FEW RUIN IT FOR THE MANY " . Over the years, our handling of the Mom's dairy has turned into a mostly thankless, gruelling job. Not the dairy itself, we LOVE that part, it's THE CUSTOMERS that have turned into the problem. I am throwing away the bulk of one whole workday a week now, time I can't afford to lose. Yesterday: 1) Instead of getting to work, I had to drive to Lund's and buy a cartlod of ice because 8 customers didn't show up for their dairy (on a 96 degree day!). Most called and asked me to refrigerate it. (our refrigerator is ours and full!) 2) Some people continue to refuse to put their return bottles in racks, causing broken bottles about twice a month (I'm still picking glass shards out of everything) plus I feel like a Mom cleaning your room, at the end of the day when I rack them up for you. (we are now putting out extra racks, in the past we have run out). 3) Someone threw pennies in my koi pond so today I'll miss another half a day's work to drain and clean the pond (the new pennies will delaminate and kill koi). Plus (over several weeks) some of the rocks were knocked into the pond dislodging the delicate nature of the shoreline. 4) We are missing 3 coolers! 5) The last 2 customers yesterday didn't have all or part of their order because someone earlier took their stuff! This has been happening every week. (who took all the reduced-fat milk?) In talking to a couple of the other distribution sites, they are experiencing the same problems and we are losing one site provider as a result of all this unnecessary work. Again, this is just to the FEW who are making me mad. I hope the rest of you will continue to enjoy the good deal. I think we who are MOMs customers at W & R's place ought to figure out a way to compensate W & R for this weekly and thankless task. I don't have any ideas right off the bat, but I'm sure we can all think of something. This is too valuable to screw up. ~Joe
Guest guest
I totaly agree. Will and (sorry for not spelling correctly) go out of their to accomodate us and they get this in return. How rude, I would be a little ticked off myself. Iknow the milk and stuff I order and would not like it if someone took it!! Whatever you guys think(as far as compensation) is fair, I will definetly pitch in and see that we are able to contnue this great deal we have. We really have it made I hope everyone knows. I dont know what I would do if I couldnt stop by Wills and get such great stuff. Will puts in a lot of work and has truly helped me with so much. Lets not take this lightly, W & R dont have to do this for us, it is a privalege we mustt not take lightly or for granted. Guest guest
We are blessed with having a Mom's Dairy delivery at our home. The families who are a part of this group are respectful, patient, aware of time sensitive product, etc. The ground rules were established early on and it continues to amaze me that this group runs so well. There is not a hassle I would not put up with to continue to receive Mom's Dairy products at our home. We must always remember, it Mike and Dianne and their family who put forth blood, sweat and tears to run their farm. The drop sites are blessed to be a part of Mom's success. Guest guest
i agree with compensating w & r. what if we put a DONATION jar on the table and everyone put in at least $1. Will says 50 people come by there to pickup, so that would be at least $50/week. maybe the jar could be called COMPENSATION instead. catherine inishglora <inishglora@...> wrote: > The title for this note could be " THE FEW RUIN IT FOR THE > MANY " . Guest guest
I think that is a great idea. Earlier in the year I jokingly mentioned to Will that he should put out a tip jar for all his hard work, who knew it would come to this. I am in, I will even bring a jar! jim Tierney <anandacate@...> wrote: i agree with compensating w & r. what if we put a DONATION jar on the table and everyone put in at least $1. Guest guest
Another idea would be a check in list. One would sign their name and time. Each person being aware of who was before them would make one be more responcible. I'm thinking it's human nature to get even more sloppy if the idea is " oh well I'm leaving money here so now I really don't have to pick up that mess, watch my kids.... " Just a suggestion. kathann I think that is a great idea. Earlier in the year I jokingly mentioned to Will that he should put out a tip jar for all his hard work, who knew it would come to this.
