I don't know if this is how you would like it crushed, but many demonstrators show the power of the Vitamix to crush ice by filling it with water and ice, then dumping it out allowing the water to drain away and there is a big pile of crushed (slushy) ice which remains?

Sadly, you could only dry crush a very small bit, but even that won't come out even - the ice will stick to the sides of the container.

We mix ice with what ever wet ingrediant we need for a perfect blend. Like

sometimes snowball syrup or juice. Plain the ice comes out but is sometimes

chunky.

I would suppose if one needed to crush a lot of ice on an ongoing basis, then it

might be worthwhile to invest in another container for that purpose, equipped

with a Vitamix ice blade assembly as pictured here:
