Guest guest
I don't know if this is how you would like it crushed, but many demonstrators show the power of the Vitamix to crush ice by filling it with water and ice, then dumping it out allowing the water to drain away and there is a big pile of crushed (slushy) ice which remains? Guest guest
Hmm, I will try that. I guess Ican't just dry crush it? Guest guest
Sadly, you could only dry crush a very small bit, but even that won't come out even - the ice will stick to the sides of the container. Guest guest
We mix ice with what ever wet ingrediant we need for a perfect blend. Like sometimes snowball syrup or juice. Plain the ice comes out but is sometimes chunky. > >  > > > Good morning all,  I was just wondering if the vitamix can be used as an ice crusher and if so, what is the best way to do that. We are having some friends over and we need some crushed ice. Thanks. >  > >
Guest guest
I would suppose if one needed to crush a lot of ice on an ongoing basis, then it might be worthwhile to invest in another container for that purpose, equipped with a Vitamix ice blade assembly as pictured here: http://www.jlhufford.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=6317 Jane > > > >  > > > > > > Good morning all,  I was just wondering if the vitamix can be used as an ice crusher and if so, what is the best way to do that. We are having some friends over and we need some crushed ice. Thanks. > >  > > > > >
