Guest guest
Hi all! I noticed that a few of you have a hard time getting your kids to drink the veggie smoothies. I have one of the pickiest eaters in the world here, but he loves a green smoothie! Both of my boys go wild over a smoothie when I add lime or lemon juice AND white grape juice *concentrate* (I usually do 1 tablespoon per child). I think these two things really mask the spinach. They also like it BRIGHT green (not brownish green), so I stay away from adding red grapes or strawberries (and other red fruits) to the mix. My smoothie base is banana apple spinach lime/lemon juice ice white grape juice concentrate (that you buy in the frozen food section; I leave it in the fridge so it's always thawed) I usually add kiwi and pineapple, but it really depends on what I have on hand/what needs used up! Just thought I'd share. Ami
