Guest guest
I am trying to figure out how much I need to loose to get to 20% body fat. And trying to find a realistic goal for the next 4 weeks. I am currently at 137lbs, body fat at 28%. I am 5'5. I have gained 3 lbs of muscle and lost 7lbs of fat so far, I am in my 8th week. I tried using your muscle and body fat scale, but don't have a clue how to use it. Jen
Guest guest
You just fill in the yellow boxes and hit 'enter.' To get to 20% at 130lbs, you would need to lose 12 pounds of fat and gain 5 lbs of lean mass. To get to 20% at 127 pounds you would need to lose 13 lbs of fat and gain 3 lbs of lean mass. To get to 20% at 123 pounds, you would just need to lose 14 pounds of fat. I recommend gaining as much lean mass as you can though. Easier to get there, easier to stay lean. :-) Skwigg I am trying to figure out how much I need to loose to get to 20% body fat. And trying to find a realistic goal for the next 4 weeks. Guest guest
Wow! You Go Girl! You are truly working your butt off. Good job! Becky > I totally rule! LOL I'm down 9.5 pounds in 6 weeks. All my measurements are shrinking like mad. I've lost an inch and a half off each thigh and over 3 inches off my abdomen! I started out at 146.5 lbs (at 5'8 " ), I'm now 137 lbs. I hope to break 135 by the end of the month and perhaps (can't even believe I'm typing it) 130 by the end of May. That would put my body fat in the low teens or single digits as opposed to the upper teens where I normally maintain. I'll post 8 week pics and measurements after the 30th. > > I can't believe my attention span has held this long. I'm not even tempted by Easter Candy. I scoff at the peeps! > > > > Skwigg > > > Hi , > How's the contest going? Guest guest
, I admire your focus! Wow, those results are awesome! Is it the sheer competition that's keeping you going? > I totally rule! Guest guest
Sounds great!! What is a typical eating day for you. That is the part I'm struggling with the most. Especially chocolate! Guest guest
I'm a little hesitant to post a typical eating day because it will probably confuse everyone. I eat more fat than most people, larger portions, lots of fruit, lots of convenience foods. It's not exactly BFL, it's not exactly The Zone (but really close), it's just what works for me. We'll call it the Skwigg for Life program. 1) 1/4 cup cottage cheese, 2 dried apricots, 1 tsp peanut butter (pre-workout) 2) 1 egg, 1/2 cup eggbeaters, slice of low-fat cheese, 2 strips turkey bacon, half a cantaloupe, 7 strawberries 3) 1 cup 2% cottage cheese, 1/2 cup mandarin oranges, 1/2 cup pineapple, 3 crushed macadamia nuts, sweetened with Splenda 4) Lean Cuisine fiesta chicken, 1 oz almonds, sugar-free Jell-O 5) Zone bar 6) 1 oz mozzarella, 5 strawberries When I add up a day, I'm usually in the 1300-1600 calorie range and near 40/30/30 (carbs, pro, fat). I'm not counting anything religiously though. I haven't had a free day in six weeks, just an occasional small splurge when I can't stand it anymore. Here's a partial list of everything I can't wait to consume the second this is over: blueberry bagel with blueberry cream cheese pistachio ice cream in a chocolate dipped waffle cone a quarter pounder with cheese and an order of fries pepperoni pizza and cinnamon sticks buttered movie popcorn... with a cherry coke and peanut M & Ms warm chocolate chip cookies with melty chips Krispy Kremes and Cadbury Eggs (goes without saying!) I'm such a food kook! If it weren't for my obsessive vanity and hopeless fixation with abs, I'd probably weigh in the low 400s about now. :-) Sunshine asked how hard it is for a woman to drop her body fat into the single digits. It's HARD. I've never done it, and honestly I don't think I'm going to do it this time because I'm not willing to give up such wonderments as fruit and dairy. Low teens I just might pull off though. We'll see. Re: Skwigg Sounds great!! What is a typical eating day for you. That is the part I'm struggling with the most. Especially chocolate!
