Guest guest
Hello all you cocoNUTS, I have read NT and follow many of the principles within. They make sense. The one thing I question is the whole coconut oil usage. As I see it, we live in MN. The north country. Raw food diet doesn't make sense. Vegan diet doesn't make sense. Vegetarian doesn't make sense. A balanced diet full of fruits, veggies, and animal products (local and organic as much as possible), makes sense. My German, English, Welch, and Irish ancestors would not, it seems to me, have had access to coconut oil. Why is it that we are supposed to take approx. 2 Tbsp. per day? What about fish oil? This seems more logical given our non-tropical climate and historic inability to acquire it. Have some of you thought about this? Please share your thoughts, research, logic? In some ways, though I abstain from pork, I am interested in using lard. Not as a supplement, but to cook/bake with. This seems to follow with the ways our ancestors historically got fat. I am less certain about this than other health/food topics so feel free to pipe up on this topic too. Thank you,
