separate cream

Sun tea jars are a nice way to separate cream, but a few years ago I bought a

cream

separator. The ones you can still occasionally find at rumage sales tend to be

huge and

rusty- often just good for lawn ornaments. I bought a table top size separator

at

Hoegger's goat supply, tried Lehman's, but they were back ordered at the time.

It wasn't

cheap, but it's a great way to get cream. It's great fun to lick the disks

clean when you're

done. My dd LOVES this and I was never able to keep her fingers out of the way

when I

was trying to clean up afterward.

I'm still waiting for fences, once they're up, I'm planning on getting a jersey

cow so I can

have all the cream and homemade butter I want. :)

Lynn,

I had no idea you were considering getting a cow. What fun!! You'll have

something new everytime we come to visit. :)
