Thanks for sharing Lea Ann.  I've been getting sick of my stand-bys also and need to limit fruits as well.  I will give this a try!On Mon, Nov 7, 2011 at 10:26 AM, Lea Ann Savage <lsavage@...> wrote:

I had been limiting my Green Smoothies to only berries with greens (because I have to limit my sugar intake drastically or I have wild blood sugar swings and insomnia) and was really getting tired of that flavor.  Switched to a lot of green based soups, but was beginning to tire of that too.

At my last show (In Palm Beach Gardens WFM) I came up with a new one for me (shared it with a customer looking for a similar drink) and I've been loving it ever since…

Greens (whatever Greens you want)  I like spinach, kale or collards - stems removed from kale and collards)

1 lime peeled

ginger to taste

small apple

Stevia

ice

Mint leaves are a nice optional addition

At first I thought I'd have to choke this down, but I like it, and find that I'm really looking forward to this each day!

It'll be my addiction until I'm sick of it and I move on to something new (as always :-)

Green apples have less sugar and can be used if you want to cut the sugar from

fruits down.
