Guest guest
Therese, Thanks so much for letting me know about PWF eggs. I order those on a regular basis and really like them a lot. I also love their yogurt, btw. It's outstanding. I asked about the 's brand because I still haven't found a cottage cheese without all the nasties in it. I'll check Lakewinds and WF next time I'm there. Janet, Thanks also for your reply. I'm not yet a member of MVV, but I'm definitely keeping notes! I've tasted your raw cheeses and served them to guests, and they are spectacularly wonderful ~ Angie ~ > > We use NO SOY on our farm Therese! Guest guest
I've asked Mike from Prairie Wind farms and he said that they do NOT use soy in the chicken feed. Does anyone know about MVV? Therese My response: As far as I'm concerned, there are no eggs better than MVV's eggs! The chickens there are truly free-range- they run all over the place! They're by the calves, by the hog, by the cows grazing in the pastures- they go where bugs and other assorted goodies lurk! Last week, I even had my first ever double-yolk egg. Outstanding color, outstanding taste, and the price is pretty good at $2.75/dozen. I imagine in the winter, the chickens would get supplementary feed, but knowing that the Brunners are WAPF-friendly, am confident there is no soy in the feed! ( said that the PWF eggs were a close second) I am busy with a teething 9 month old and a " testing " 2 yr old. So I don't have time to make any runs to MVV! If someone near me (No. Mpls) has an extra dozen sometime, I'd love to see what all the hoopla is about. I pick up at Will's every Thursday, if that helps. Guest guest
I'm relatively new to this but very interested. How does one order from MVV and what to they have available? Guest guest
Therese, I live in N. MPLS as well. Next time I get my MVV eggs I'll bring you a dozen. My kids are now 6 and 4 but I've been there. ;-) Laurel > > > > > > My response: As far as I'm concerned, there are no eggs better than MVV's > > eggs! Guest guest
These two vendors sell soy-free pastured eggs (as well as pastured meat) at the main Minneapolis farmers' market, including every other Saturday through the winter. Blue Gentian Farm New Richmond, WI 54017 715-781-8169 bluegentianfarm.com Bar 5 Arlington, MN 55307 507-964-5612 They may also sell at other markets -- may be worth it to ask. > > > > Which of the free-range eggs sold in our area are from chickens that do > > not > > have soy in their diets? Guest guest
The eggs we have at MVV are from chickens that do not consume soy.
