Hi! 20 year vet with my Vitamix and a former type 1(not a misprint--type 1 not

type 2) diabetic for 27 years who used the Vitamix to great effect to stay

healthy until my transplant this Spring at the University of Minnesota. Insulin

free for 5 months. I only qualified because I was very disciplined about

managing my blood sugar levels (my A1c's ranged from 5.6-6.3 % over those 27

years) Sorry. I digressed. Most fruits, in moderation, can be used in managing

the disease. It is fat and fiber that slows the digestion of the fructose. Just

make sure you are choosing the right kind of fats. The more your foods are

whole, natural, organic if possible, the better! It makes it much more difficult

to overeat.
