Hello everyone. Sorry I never got back re: the ARD meeting that I requested. I

have a lot to update on and little time, so here goes:

Meeting went great. I managed to get more regular class for time for Alden. Gave

books for teacher and team to read. Gave ideas, brought some things for the

teacher to use, and better plans for incentives, etc.

The result has been excellent all the way around. I had one inclusion teacher

tell me that Alden is doing great in the regular classroom. She will be writing

a reference letter for our next duty station.

Which brings me to the next bit of news. We are leaving Fort Bliss in El Paso TX

and will be at Fort Bragg, Fayetteville NC soon! Movers have already taken the

bulk of our household goods and we are trying to clear quarters. A lot of work

and stress but I am so glad to be leaving here. The weather is great but I miss

being near water. I won't miss this school system, that is for sure but I have

learned a LOT about advocating for Alden! LOL

We were invited to dinner this past Friday, which was nice... But we we were NOT

informed that their 4 yr old was just diagnosed with pink eye and being treated

only a day or two SO Alden and I now have pink eye, we had to miss our last

Sunday at our church (which was very sad for me), and I have had to keep Alden

home from school and aftercare (which really makes cleaning, preparing vehicles

for the move, etc., etc. MUCH more difficult. A VERY costly meal which I hope

and pray that I have learned my lesson and remember to ASK for full disclosure

of illnesses prior to accepting help in future moves or any such stressful

times! ROFL

Well. Keep us in your prayers as we travel across the country. It will take us

from the 7th to the 10th or 11th to drive this with short breaks and overnight

stops to rest. 2 vehicles w/topper, 3 kids, and a dog, cat, and bird!
