Hello Folks,

I have uploaded the PDF File of the Wisconsin Raw Milk Bill to

/files/WISCONSIN%20RAW%20MILK%\

20BILL/

We're asking everyone and anyone to help us out by sending emails or snailmails

to the chairmen and members of the committee (see below) with your support of

this Bill. Wayne and I will be attending the hearing next week in Madison and

are hoping we can get as many people as possible there to support us. The

future of our Farm Share Program here at Midvalleyvu Farms relies heavily on

making raw dairy sales legal in Wisconsin.

Below is a copy of the letter we received from Wisconsin State Representative

Barbara Gronemus, who is introducing the Bill.

Thanks!

Wayne and Janet Brunner

TO: SUPPORTERS OF LEGAL SALE OF RAW MILK in Wisconsin.

I NEED YOUR HELP!

You have made it know to me that you support changing Wisconsin law to allow the

sale of Raw Milk. I have introduced Assembly Bill 453 (copy attached) and I

need your help to get it passed by the Assembly Committee on Public Health and

the State Assembly.

A Public Hearing will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at 10AM in Room

415 Northwest of the State Capitol. If you can attend the hearing, it would be

of great help. Verbal testimony at hearing should not exceed 5 minutes. If you

wish to make extensive comments, you can submit written testimony and you should

provide at least 10 copies for committee members and committee staff.

Whether you can or cannot attend the public hearing, I urge you to e-mail or

write (this is better as with the volume of e-mails some staff never share

e-mails with their bosses) and let the chairman and members of the committee

know that you support AB453. The e-mail for ALL committee members would be: Rep.

(last name)@legis.state.wi.us The mailing address for Representatives with last

names beginning with A-L is PO Box 8952, State Capitol, Madison, WI 53708 and

last names M-Z is PO Box 8953, State Capitol, Madison, WI 53708. Committee

Members are: J.A Hines, Chair; Greg Underheim, Vice-Chair; Members:

Townsend, Steve Freese, Terri McCormick, Sheldon Wasserman, Tamara Grigsby, and

Chuck Benedict.

Attached is a copy of AB453 for your review. You should stress that ALL GRADE A

standards must be adhered to, a liability provision is included, and just as

required for unpasteurized apple cider and fruit juices a warning label is

required.

Enactment of AB453 will be an uphill battle, BUT by working together WE can

succeed!
