Guest guest
Hi (and everyone else too!) I am new to this list - been here just a few days I guess. Would you mind sharing your fizzy bath cookie recipe with me? I tried a batch of those a few weeks ago and while they looked and smelled great, they made a horrible mess in the bath and didn't melt or dissolve at all. I'm not sure what I did - maybe too much oil. The chunks in the bath water looked and felt like the foam stuffing out of a pillow - very strange! The recipe I had must be different from yours I guess - the recipe I used didn't call for citric acid so they weren't supposed to fizz, just dissolve. But Hey! I thought of a way to use them anyway! I just crunched them all up with a mortar and pestle and will be adding them to some bath tea mixtures! I was disappointed that they weren't usable as cookies though - like I said they were very pretty. I used Rose EO, pink food color and placed a small rose bud in the middle of each one. They make good decorations but are just awful in the bath water! Thanks, Femme carrie a ivy wrote: > > I recently started making my bath bombs bath cookies. Guest guest
I haven't had much success with eos with my testers (my 8 and 9 yo sons) but they actually liked the lavender bombs I made...but to be honest they like the fizzing action so much, they don't really care what the scent is, they'd use them all up...They love when I have " crumbs " or broken bombs, means they get to have them....it's about the only thing I can use to convince them that batheing is a good practice lol H. Kudzu Moon Soaps http://kudzumoonsoaps.homestead.com I made my first bath bombs tonight and so far so good -- nothing is oozing or puffing up. Anyway, I would like to make some fun bath bombs to send to my grandson in Hawaii and a friend's son who is about the same age (6). I'm a newbie to all of this and so wouldn't hazard a guess as to a good scent for an active boy. I do know that peppermint is not an eo that I want to use with him especially given that he takes his baths in the evenings. Any suggestions for blending eo's for kids bath bombs would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Donna Go to your destiny!
Guest guest
Femme, here is the repice I used. I'll be honest, it started out as one huge mess up, so I just added this and that, here is the recipe that I ended up with: 2oz Cocoa Butter, melted this down -add- 3.5ml Vanilla FO 3.5ml Hot Buttered Vanilla FO -mix together 2oz baking soda 2oz powdered oatmeal 2oz citric acid -stir this all together, then let sit 15-20 minutes, add 2 oz. Cornstarch, mix well and drop onto waxed paper to dry. Bright Blessings to You
Guest guest
I like to add a couple of drops of lemon and/or lime eo to children's bath bombs. Sparks

Guest guest
Hi Did you use any colouring in these, and can they be pushed /put into b/bomb molds. Going to try this later with my GD. Thanks Laraine in Australia. Re: Bath Bomb Scents for Kids Femme, here is the repice I used. Guest guest
Laraine, I have never used a bath bomb mold or press. The only other ones that I have made I cut out shapes. I'm sure you could play a little while, the key is to let the cocoa butter start cooling. Sorry I can't help out more. Blessings
Guest guest
Hi I got everything out to make a batch yesterday, my GD wanted them in turtle molds so I was gunna give it a try. Went to get the oatmeal and my DD had thrown it out, said there were weavils in it. Went and bought some last night when we did the shopping so will give it a try either today or tomorrow. Will let you know if the molds work. Laraine in Australia. Re: Bath Bomb Scents for Kids Laraine, I have never used a bath bomb mold or press. The only other ones that I have made I cut out shapes.
