Guest guest
Rebekah and I will be there volunteering all day along with the full crew from the FOOD ALLIANCE MIDWEST (see the MINNESOTA COOKS program) This is the second year and we had a total blast last year. All day long we have a big stage with 2 celebrity chefs cooking every hour along with celebrity guests tasting the goodies (the audience gets some too). It's a large open stage just to the south and west of the main ramp gate of the Coliseum. All the food items feature local, organic, sustainable, small farm foods. We are also going to be sampling the Thousand Hills 100% Grass-Fed beef from 1-4 pm tomorrow as well. Also visit the Organic Consumers Union (Finland, MN) people at their booth in the Coliseum (see post below) throughout the entire fair. Also check out the livestock building, the Normandie cattle being imported to the US by Jerome Chateau (a good friend of Trad foods, NT and Sustainable Ag) are being judged tomorrow. They won the TOP livestock awards for cattle last year. His cows are even more impressive this year! Finally, Check out the St. Fair Food Review by RICK NELSON (our Trib INSIDER for sustainable ag) in today's Trib. He gave the TOP 4 STAR RATING to the new frozen mocha at, where? the Farmer's Union building that all us Sustainable Ag folk are trying to resurect from the dust. This is our first project. Conventional ag people have made this prime location, grandfathered-in spot one of the worst black holes on the Midway. WE WANT TO CLAIM IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry about the late notice, it slipped up on me. So, come early, stay late, see it all! Will, headed to the State Fair
