Guest guest
Just to clarify for all of the Creations owners out there - the Creations model PERFORMS the same as a Vitamix 5200 - it just has some minor cosmetic differences, and two years less on the warranty. Nothing wrong with the Creations model's performance though!Updated info regarding the Creations line… Lookie at what I found on the website (a customer brought the Creations GC model to my attention):$499.00Creations GCAdd more fruits and vegetables into your menu, introduce your family and friends to culinary treats, or simplify everyday kitchen tasks with the Creations GC. I think with the extra few years of warrenty and the fact that the container looks more ergonomic you would be getting a better deal with the regular 5200. Also, this is a great site for information! Guest guest
You're ok - I agree with you - I'd prefer the 5200, (and I was the one that was emphasizing the benefits of the 5200 earlier :-) I just wanted to validate the choice for those who purchased a QVC machine. Guest guest
Better for you, and some others (and for me) but for those who Want the 48 oz. container, and Need the 5-pay plan and can't afford retail, the Creations model performs the same and they should not feel bad about their choice.Again, I agree with you, and for me the 5200 is the better choice, but in my 49 years of life on this earth, I've finally come to the understanding that what works for me doesn't always work for everyone else! :-):-) Blessings,Lea Ann SavageSatellite Beach, FL(321) 773-7088 (home)(321-961-9219 (cell)))><'>www.VitamixLady.comwww..com<))>< On Jan 10, 2012, at 9:55 AM, Dennis wrote: The Creations model is 400.00 w 5 year warranty and 48 oz container to upgrade container to 64 oz is 149.00 which bring creations up to 549.00 the 5200 Super is 549.00 with the wet and dry container with a seven year warranty and add 75.00 when you purchase the Vitamix and you are upgraded to 10 year warranty this makes the 5200 a better purchase----------------------------------------------------------From: Lea Ann Savage <lsavage@...> Sent: Tuesday, January 10, 2012 9:39 AM Subject: Re: Re: Creations model You're ok - I agree with you - I'd prefer the 5200, (and I was the one that was emphasizing the benefits of the 5200 earlier :-) I just wanted to validate the choice for those who purchased a QVC machine. Guest guest
After reading this, I’m still not totally sure. Our VitaMix came with two jars, but we have to move the blades from one to the other, which makes me think both jars would really be for wet, though one was marked dry. Guest guest
I did not know VitaMix shipped the VM with 2 containers and 1 blade set. Doesn't make sense to me. I think you must have received a wrong packaging. Never heard anywhere that a customer would have to move the blade from one to the other. Anyway, you would get the same results in either container with the single blade set. Doesn't make sense to me. I think you must have received a wrong packaging. Never heard anywhere that a customer would have to move the blade from one to the other. Anyway, you would get the same results in either container with the single blade set. Our VitaMix came with two jars, but we have to move the blades from one to the other, which makes me think both jars would really be for wet, though one was marked dry.
