Guest guest
I also have tried chopping vegetables chunky but they always seem end up chopped finely and thats on number 3. I may have to buy a food processor From: caribbeangrlrn <itschrissy@...> Sent: Wednesday, 23 November 2011, 16:50 Subject: Do you use your vitamix to chop celery, carrots and onions for stuffing? I am doing a lot of my prep work for the holiday today and I am wondering if you use your vitamix to chop your carrots, celery and onions for your stuffing? I like mine chunky....not finely chopped. If so do you use the wet or dry blade to do this. After chopping I usually sautee on stove with fresh seasonings and chicken broth. Thanks. Guest guest
To get them as chunky as possible, I use variable speed #1 and use the tamper, and have patience (it takes longer on the slowest speed). IF you have a dry container you will get chunkier pieces on variable #1 and can chop a little bit more volume at a time.I too prefer bigger chunks, but sacrifice size for convenience :-)For more information on how to use your machine as a food processor, check out the salsa and chicken salad recipes on my website… Blessings,Lea Ann SavageSatellite Beach, FL(321) 773-7088 (home)(321-961-9219 (cell)))><'>www.VitamixLady.comwww..com<))>< On Nov 23, 2011, at 11:03 AM, Tofis wrote: I also have tried chopping vegetables chunky but they always seem end up chopped finely and thats on number 3. Guest guest
I have not used my dry container yet, so I will go try that and report the turn out!
