It's thick, clear glass, about 7 " in diameter and 8 " deep From Here we go Volume = pi*r(sqd)*h = 3.143*3.5*3.5*7 (I've left you an inch at the top to prevent slop over) =269.5123 sq inches GOTO--> http://www.convert-me.com/en/convert/volume and this converts to 0.9715 Gallon (English) 1.167 Gallons (US) Or, as my Grandma used to say " There's no good guessers in heaven " Wish me luck! Guest guest
Aw, jeez, ! I'm a grown-up; I don't hafta do math if I don't want to! : ) I did have a couple of nice surprises yesterday when I went to start brewing in this lovely container. One, it seems to hold more than a gallon -- I got 8 liters, more or less, to fit in it comfortably. Two, the diameter of the top is narrow enough that I can cover it with a tea towel and snug it down with a large rubber band to keep the fruit flies out. So now I have a gorgeous huge batch of hibiscus KT fermenting quietly away on my kitchen counter. Namaste! -- Sylvia Kane <brainnake@...> wrote: From: Sylvia Shults <pompeii100@...> I just got back from a garage sale, and I found a dandy brewing container! Guest guest
I am sure Lea Ann is tucked in bed for the night, but she will give you info on how to get the best deal through her first thing in the morning, I am sure. The dry container ROCKS-good choice!Sent from my iPadOn Dec 27, 2011, at 11:23 PM, "mirthfullady" <mirthfullady@...> wrote: Aloha, I would like a small dry canister for my vitamix. I know I've seen info on how to buy one here, but when I searched the messages, it didn't come up. Please advise. Thanks.
