Guest guest
Kathy E, thank you for your response. In our situation, neither of the boys saw their dad being taken away. Maybe I'm cold hearted, well, uncaring, or maybe I had just had enough. We worked together, and he had come at me physically three times that day at work. I had to work overtime, he went home. My mother, who is also Bi-polar, was taking care of the boys. When I got there, his bedroom door was shut. He had left a note and overdosed. Well, after what he had put me through that day, and I had taken him to a well respected facility just a few days before and he lied about suicidal feelings, so they released him, I was just fed up. I got my mother, had her take the boys over to the lake, a nice 5 minute drive, before I even called 911. I was honest with them. I am a certified emergency first responder, so I did monitor him, but I figured the boys just didn't need to see what was going on. They know he was in the hospital, and Dakota knows it was for mental reasons, but that's it. But the boys did see and hear enough for a long time. It's been better here for the last few days, and a routine is starting to settle in. Austin is very routine oriented. It helps. Ugh, sorry for unloading all of that. Guess I didn't realize I needed to, and I've done alot of it the last few days on here. I really am normally a happy person, lol...
