Count it whichever way motivates you the most. Don't worry about the past. Just concentrate on getting in your workout each day (or the days of the week you plan on working out). Guest guest
I'm getting forgetful in my dotage. I remember to take my morning medication, but forget the evening dose half the time. I tried setting the alarm on my cell phone, but I don't hear it. So, I asked (38, DS) to remind me because she never forgets her synthroid. She takes it precisely at 5 pm, and you can set your watch by it. So, every evening, precisely at 8, she finds me and says, " Do you know what time it is? " I reply, " Medicine time! " For a week now, she has not forgotten. The odd thing is, has never learned to tell time. I think she compensates by what is on TV. So, in addition to helping me bathe, prepare meals, clean, do laundry and all that, she is the best caregiver I could hope for. A lady does come in on the days is at work, but on other days, I am dependent on . She never lets me down. granny, truly blessed -- *Not for ourselves, but for the world were we born.*

Guest guest
So blessed and loved! How wonderful that you have your ! May you always be blessed. Ana does not tell time either, but she knows when to take her pills, even when we are in that part of the world. How she does it, I am not sure. Of course I always supervise her. Guest guest
You are truly blessed and I agree - ryan also tells time by what's either on TV or what is going on at the time. Guest guest
Ramona is the same way. Doesn't know what day it is, can't tell time...but if I need reminding she's right on it. She is also my handicap placard go to person; always makes sure it is taken down after use. Now if I could just get 100% compliance with the CPAP machine! She's wearing it about 75% of the time, so we are getting there. Seattle On Sun, Oct 2, 2011 at 6:50 AM, Gem Bordages <gem.bordages@...> wrote: > ** > > > I'm getting forgetful in my dotage. Guest guest
Lovely to hear your girl is such a blessing to you. is already such a helpful child, and has similar " set the clock by it " habits. She takes her own meds religiously, and is great at remembering things I am likely to forget. We have always said, personality-wise, if we have one child who never moves out, we're glad it's probably going to be .... she's neat and tidy, follows the rules (and a reasonable schedule) and loves to take care of people... love the other two to death as well, but well, they aren't quite as easy to live with at the moment :-) , mom to (16 in less than 2 weeks!), (13 DS) and Sammy (12) On 10/2/2011 6:50 AM, Gem Bordages wrote: > > I'm getting forgetful in my dotage. Guest guest
Great job . It sure does make a parent proud to see that their kids are really growig up...especially our kids! Loree brag  Today after school, (14 yrs old with DS) got off the bus and was slowly coming up to the house. I had noticed that he was taking his sweet time coming in (something which the bus driver has asked us to work on...he gets sidetracked going in the house and they need him to speed it up), so I was telling him to hurry and come in. He said something about a man sleeping. I said, don't worry about it. Hurry and come in. I told him to do his routine...go potty, wash his hands, etc. He did and then came out back and told me again, " man sleeping in there " . I told him that no man was sleeping in our house. He said, " no outside, sidewalk " . Since he was so insistent, I told him to show me. He walked towards the front and pointed out our front door. I followed him and then walked out my front door. Well, guess what? There was a man passed out on our sidewalk directly in front of our house!! " sleeping " . As I went out to check on h im, the bus driver was getting off the bus to check on him too. The next door neighbor signaled to me that he was on the phone with 911. So, all this excitement was happening, was yelling out the screen door, " call 911, call 911 " The man was fine. Totally smelled of alcohol. Paramedics came and woke him up and he was on his way. But it was neat to see 's understanding of what to do in an " emergency " I am very proud of him and just wanted to share. Also to give hope to parents out there with younger kids. He felt really big and knew that he was doing the right thing. We really praised him and went over what he did right. (tell adult until someone listens, know to call 911, stay inside until mommy told him it was safe to come out) If you are still ready, thanks for listening, Kym...mom to 5 including (14 w/ DS)
