Guest guest
Unless you strain off the juice, it will be thicker because of the fiber. I don't recommend straining, but running machine longer, adding some ice to cool it down after the initial blending and learning to acquire a taste for it being thicker. You bought the Vitamix for its health benefits, and fiber from a carrot is one of them. Besides carrots, what else do you add in your juice? > > > I just got my vitamin and I love to make carrot juice but when I did it was very pulpy do I need to keep blending it longer? > Sent from my iPad >
Guest guest
Hi. Sounds like you might need to invest in some sort of a strainer or what many use is known as a nut mylk bag. You pour the mixed carrot juice/pulp from the Vitamix into a type of strainer and then squeeze the pulp if you are using a nut mylk bag (google this term) or press the pulp along the sides of a strainer. Do this over a bowl or glass..this releases the juice while keeping the pulp separate. The Vitamix will not juice the carrot fully. I happen to enjoy the pulp but have days when I want a very liquid pulp free carrot juice. I use a strainer of some kind for those occasions. There are members who can speak to this in more detail - including being owners of a Vitamix and also a high end juicer. Hope this helps. Guest guest
I add celery, apple, grapefruit. I guess I should make it like a smoothie. I have been enjoying them. Today I am going to try the greenie smoothie. Thanks so much for your reply.Sent from my iPadOn Nov 19, 2011, at 10:02 AM, "flnancy1958" <flnancy1958@...> wrote: Unless you strain off the juice, it will be thicker because of the fiber.
