Guest guest
Hi All Well, it is 5:45am and I have been awake since 4am, sneeking around the house and trying to keep myself busy without making any noise. I am SO jetlagged, it is just not funny. There is a 9 hour time difference between Calgary and Cape Town, so I guess it will take a while to get used to. One of the VERY first things I noticed in Canada is all the food. All the variety, all the choices you get to make for a single cup of coffee and a hot dog. It was totally amazing! Just to adds on TV gets me drooling! I'm definitly going to have a much harder time controlling myself over here than I did in South Africa. Hehe, well, I guess that is why canada is a first world country, and souh africa not! It is -10C out! When I left SA on monday it was 40C! That is a 50C difference! When I left the airport building I gasped for air! My body did not realise immediatly that it is OK the inhale that cold air! Everything is so different - I guess I can go on and on about my experience in my new home thus far, but I will not bore you with everything you already know! While trying to keep awake (so I can get used to the time zone) I visited a Golds gym close to where I live. It was not bad, just very crowded, and it was like 3pm - not even a busy time of day. I got a free pass for a week, so I'll try it out soon. I'll probaly not got today - I'm still to out of whack. But tomorrow I'll definitly try and make it. I found myself laying awake at 3:30am and planning my next workout. I really miss it! It has just been so part of my routine for the last year, that I crave it! I have been eating whatever I feel like! I'm overwhelmed by the foodcourts and just cant help myself. Well, I'll try my best to control myself, but I'm not going to sweat a week of not so perfect eating. Next week I'll be BFL'ing seriously to reach my final goal of 18% bf. Untill then, I'll be marvelling in every taste sensation new to me! Anyways, time for coffee with that great flavoured milk/cream stuff. Hazelnut and french vanilla. Then some cheerios for breakfast (also new to me) and an apple. Even the apples are different! Man, it is amazing. OK OK, enough now. Have a great day. Yvette (going exploring!)
