Happy with refurbished machine!

I both the refurbished one for $379.00 on Vitamix's site. The base with motor is

the refurbished part. The container and tamper are brand new. With my shipment

came an additional offer -- a choice of discounts for registering my 7 year

warranty (cookbook, extended warranty, or discount on an extra container). I

chose to get the dry grains container, which makes flour out of any whole grain,

kneads dough, etc. for $50.00.

So I paid $429.00 for both wet and dry containers (both brand new). I'm

completely satisfied with my purchase and have been buzzing away on smoothies

and soups all week! (I'm obsessed!)

That sounds like a great deal. I just ordered a refurbished machine too, can't

wait to get it. I was wondering though does the refurbished machine come with a

cookbook and the DVD? Does anyone know?

I also purchased a refurb 5200. LOVE IT. I had purchased one from QC with the

small caraf and sent it back as it sounded weird - husband said the gears

sounded stripped out.

I use mine every day. Smoothie or coffee frappe in the AM and mixing recipes or

making soups/ice cream in the PM.

It is the one kitchen appliance I'd keep if I had to choose among all I have.

Yes the refurbished do come with the book & DVD. I just got one. I arrived a couple weeks ago.

As others have answered, yes, the reburbished comes with DVD and cookbook. The

32 oz Dry Grains Container also came with the Whole Grains Cookbook. I wasn't

planning on geting the Dry Grains Container right away, but the price was too

alluring ($50 vs $144).
