I'd be willing to give Lila $10 for bringing up our orders.

MVV Farms Deliveries

Importance: High

Hi Folks,

I know I'm a few minutes early for the 5:00 deadline for orders - but I

just wanted to let you all know that it's not looking very promising for

deliveries tomorrow. We've only received 4 rather small orders - hardly

enough to make it worthwhile for Lila to drive to the cities.

If you remember - Lila does housecleaning every other Wednesday - so

this Wednesday would make it an extra trip for her to make deliveries as

she doesn't do housecleaning this week. In order to make it worthwhile

for her to make a special trip, she's going to need more orders. If

anyone wants to jump in quick to see if we can make it - please do so

within the next hour or so.

GOOD NEWS, the MW farm order is ON again. I needed butter,

more butter, yogurt, gouda, did I mention butter, and beef. I got

my order in on time and we are now up to critical mass. If you

call now, you can get under the wire to add yours. Don't you

need more butter and cream for the holiday?

Gordon, thanks for your generous offer too, that is the kind of

energy we need to keep the energy flowing until we get our

numbers up there.

Will - and everyone else involved in the deliveries,

First of all, let me say that we (MVV) did not handle this delivery, nor did we

come up with the delivery fee. We did take in your orders and helped Lila pack

them up, but that's where our involvement ends. When she came here last night

and opened her envelope of donations for her last trip her mouth dropped open in

disappointment. She received a mere $7.00 for her time and energy. She had

taken 2 hours out of her day (not including the time it took her to pack up the

orders and fill our everyone's sheets) to deliver these products to the cities,

and she felt that small amount wasn't enough to cover her cost of gas that day,

much less the time she put into it. That's when she and her husband sat down at

our kitchen table and began to add up the amount of time and gas it would take

to pack up the orders and make a trip to the cities. They had thought of doing

some sort of percentage, but didn't know how to go about doing that without

making it too complicated at such a late time.

As for Wayne and I, we have tried to avoid the issue of deliveries for this very

reason. We simply don't have the kind of setup needed to handle deliveries so

we left all of the decisions up to Lila and her husband. I was only the go

between here in taking orders for her and handing them over to her when she came

to the farm.

I think at this point Wayne and I should step away from this and let Lila

herself handle all orders and deliveries in the future. It was never our

intention to upset anyone with this and we're deeply sorry for the hurt feelings

this may have caused.

If you feel you were overcharged for Lila's delivery, please feel free to offer

what you think is appropriate. I'm sure each individual can work something out

with Lila directly.

Again, we're very sorry!

OPPS! Bad surprise on my first MVV delivery!

After I paid the bill I was looking over the invoice and found that a $10

DELIVERY FEE had already been added to my bill!!

We can certainly discuss this, and I'm willing to pay for delivery, but I

don't

think it was fair of MVV to stick it on there WITHOUT DISCUSSING it with

me

FIRST. I just placed the order last night and nothing was said at all!

This is not making me a happy customer,
