There's also ground almonds, which St Ives uses in one of their face scrubs and it is wonderful!

Guest guest
It is not easy to find. Some health food stores carry it and Whole Foods does carry it. If you can not find it, you could always get the white cornmeal, dye it blue with a colorant and then add to the soap. Hope this helps, lynn in valencia lavender bluffs bath and body " A little touch of heaven in your bath "

Guest guest
I have just finished a search for blue cornmeal myself. I live in Princeton, IN, I finally had to get my local health food store to order it in. I have been making the " Gardeners Baskets " everyone had talked about. My next batch I plan on using it in my " no-bugs " soap. The first layer of the soap has oatmeal and lime citronella in it, the second layer I use oatmeal and E.O. of Lavender, Eucalyptus, Bitter Orange, and Rosemary. I'll let you know how it turns out with the blue cornmeal. Oh, by the way, I add these ingredients to a M & P base. Hope this helps, have a wonderful day. Guest guest
I'm way behind on my mail-there's probably been a bunch of replies to this already. Sorry! Scubby additives-ground oatmeal, cornmeal, coffee grounds, ground rosemary, ground lavender, pumice, ground luffa, ground (finely!) nutshells, cosmetic-grade clay, ground dried orange peel, dried seaweed. HTH! Michele
