Guest guest
I reacted to the plastic in the bags, but didn't want to give up my foodsaver, so I bought the jar sealer attachments that allow you to vac seal everything in mason jars! Love that, because I can reuse them. They are about 10 bucks each and come in regular and wide mouth versions. You seal the metal lids on with them, so they are not tied up while in use...love themSent from my iPadOn Sep 30, 2011, at 12:28 PM, Shaunsanto@... wrote: I had a beautiful FoodSaver but the cost of the bags made me not want to use it. Guest guest
+1 on the Mason jars. I threw my foodsaver canisters out as they crack with age. Guest guest
Hi . Can you post a link to the product that you use to seal jar lids? I've had the ones that must stay on the jar, but not ones that can be used to seal on the metal lid...I remember *lots* of discussion in the past about this on this list and others, but I never figured out exactly what the jar lid sealer is or does. Thus, seeing a link wuold be so helpful. Also wasn't there was some talk about using tape to seal the lid of the jar? Guest guest
Sure thing.
