Agrosoak is a substance bought at Lowes or Atwoods (garden centers) that are

little clumps of Gel looking stuff when added with water. Like the inside of

a wet baby diaper. It is usually used in dirt or by itself to keep plants

moist. It can be used to make smelly jelly adding it distilled water and FO

--- I was told you could add it with mineral oil heat it to____some temp (I

forgot ) and pour it and it hardens like gel add FO or Eo and color it for

Gel candles but can NOT get it to work. a

Thanks for the info on argo soak.

Do you know if it can be used with, say, olive oil, to make a solid gel

candle?

a,

I also tried to make the gel with the Argro. It is a totally different type

of resin that is used in which gel is made. It is called CP9000 Resin. I

purchased this from http://candlemaker1.safeshopper.com/2/cat2.htm?917 I

did try to make it but I was not using the correct measurements and I used

mineral oil that I purchased from the drug store, which I now understand the

kind they sell is a different grade, anyway it didn't turn out well, but I

do plan to try again once I get around to ordering the mineral oil. I think

it could be much cheaper in the long run making your own.

a,

This is great for the sweatband, and you can do some really cute

little vases with flowers and fragrance oils for smelly jelly.
