I tried searching the messages for AAC devices, but the most recent I could find was 2007. So, I was just wondering if anyone has gotten an AAC (augmentative communication)device for their child recently. Also, wondered if anyone could give any pros/cons to any of the devices out there. I understand there are a variety of devices available and for different levels of speech. So just to give you a little information regarding my son ... he is verbal, but about 60% intelligible with familiar people and about 30-40% intelligible with unfamiliar people.
