How Have You Lost Weight With The Vitamix Machine???

Hello everyone!

I know there are a lot of list members who have lost weight and have used their

Vitamix machine as a tool to help in this effort. " I bought the Vitamix to lose

weight, how do I do that " is a common question, so let's all put our .2 worth

into the pot and draw from a large body of experience to help others!

I'll start with my .2

I never really had a lot of weight to lose, but I always struggled with those

" last 5 lbs. " and a constant sense of severe hunger/cravings. For me, when I

got off of all wheat and sugar (and started drinking a Green Smoothie every day)

I lost about 5lbs (but that was only a side effect of me getting more energy

which was my goal to start with). This health " recovery " lasted about 2 years

then some serious stresses in my life cause a SEVERE relapse which crashed my

adrenals and my thyroid, so for the past 2 years I've been on a second round of

serious efforts to recover my health.

Just recently (and I apologize for mentioning this so much, but it has had such

a profound effect on my energy and hunger cravings and my low core body

temperature - related to my under functioning thyroid - that I can't stop

mentioning it) I've added a spoon full of coconut butter after every meal and as

a snack if I get a hunger pang, and my weight has seriously stabilized, my

hunger cravings have vanished (in fact sometimes I just don't even want to eat a

meal but do because I know that skipping meals is bad for your metabolism), my

core body temperature has gone up, and I have more energy. So my .2 for weight

loss is to get the book, " Eat Fat, Lose Fat " and seriously consider eating

according to one of the 3 diets listed in that book. There is one diet for

" health recovery " , one for " quick and easy weight loss " , and one for the " every

day gourmet " .

So - to everyone else on the list who has lost weight with the Vitamix…
