Award Ceremony and Graduation

Well, the big weekend is over.  Friday night was the Award Ceremony.  When

and Kelsey were announced as recipients of the Fighting Tiger Award, the

crowd broke into continuous applause for about 5 minutes and many people were

crying.  It was very moving.

 

Sunday afternoon the 190 or so seniors and several thousand people filled the

high school for graduation.  There were so many people that those who came in

late had to go to the auditorium and watch on a big screen.

 

Kelsey, 's girlfriend, received her diploma at 2:59 p.m. and

received his at 3:05.  There was lots of good music provided by the high school

band and choir and some very good speeches by class leaders.

 

now begins his 8 day post-graduate time at the school.    It was a

weekend we will never forget.
